The Big Sky Youth Empowerment project, Inc. was incorporated in 2001 in order to meet the demand for creative programs targeting high school-aged, at-risk youth. BYEP provides youth with opportunities for empowerment through spending time outdoors with mentors from the community. Founded by Pete MacFadyen (avid snowboarder, fly fisherman, and LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor)), his frustrations with traditional counseling models provided a catalyst for the creation of BYEP.

Dry Fly Outfitters focuses mainly on dry fly fishing the Missouri, but also takes float trips on the Yellowstone, Blackfoot, Clark Fork, and Bitterroot rivers.
SOS is a snowsports youth charity that was founded in 1993 in Colorado’s Vail Valley. As a nonprofit organization, our programs build character and self-esteem in youth through outdoor activities and the SOS curriculum. SOS is on pace to serve more than 4,500 youth across the nation in 2009-2010. SOS programs include mountain biking, wilderness trips, rock climbing, skiing/snowboarding, and encourage youth to develop Courage, Discipline, Integrity, Wisdom and Compassion.
