The Crescent Moon Gold Series 15 Women's Snowshoe is specifically designed for women's smaller, narrower strides. Staying committed to Crescent Moon's goal to be "as GREEN as possible" the 2007/2008 models are 100% PVC free! They're also made in Boulder, CO. in a 100% wind powered factory. Crescent Moon has the right idea, and their products show it! The materials being used by Crescent Moon for the season of 2007/08 will be PVC free and yet will have greater strength and less weight per linear yard than the materials they replace, although more costly than the PVC materials that we have used in the past. PVC is a relatively inexpensive material, but the cost to the environment is very significant! The Crescent Moon Gold Series 15 Women's Backcountry Snowshoe was designed specifically for women. The exaggerated teardrop shape makes hiking much easier than any other shape. The Crescent Moon Gold 15 Snowshoe features TGS decking in the rear, Surlyn (R) decking in the front, and gold SPL binding and stainless steel traction. The Gold 15 measures 9" x 31" and weighs 4 lbs. 2 oz. per pair.

BINDING: The most important part of a snowshoe is the binding. It should be easy and intuitive to use, provide support, be comfortable under all conditions and efficiently transfer your energy to the traction system with each step you take. That's why Crescent Moon invented the SPL (single-pull-loop) adjustable binding. You'll get the response and control you need and get a great sense of confidence to go up or down any trail with a pair of Crescent Moon's.

This simple design is the result of extensive testing and years of use by our customers from around the world. We feel it is absolutely the world's best snowshoe binding. PLATFORM (Frame & Decking) - To ensure optimal flotation, Crescent Moon Snowshoes are balanced to distribute your body weight across the entire shoe. The design also makes them easier to pull out of the snow, so you don't have to work as hard to walk, hike or climb. Our unique teardrop-shape platform is based on the shape of your foot—wide at the ball and narrow at the heel. Instead of forcing you to waddle, the ergonomic design helps your feet clear away from each other with every step, ensuring a smooth, natural stride and allowing you to concentrate on your adventure. The frame is made from lightweight aircraft-grade aluminum tubing, which is shaped by hand and Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG)-welded for incredible strength, durability and reliability. The decking is made from an ultra durable, lightweight material called TGS (the good stuff) which simply won't tear or fail. It is extremely resistant to abrasion and textured for additional traction and performance. TRACTION: Crescent Moon Snowshoes have the only three-claw crampon traction system on the market, so you can really get a grip. Inherently better than standard two-crampon systems, it features the only genuine toe claw found on any snowshoe. As you walk, you use your whole foot, shifting your weight for balance and traction with each step. So we position our stainless steel teeth and claws to dig in not only at the heel and ball, but also at the toe, to give you complete control. All of our crampons come with protective, snow shedding shields to prevent buildup of snow and ice. Crescent Moon guarantees the quality of every showshoe they make. Any defect in materials or workmanship will be repaired, or the snowshoe replaced, at their expense and returned within ten working days. Damage attributed to acts of nature (cars, dogs, etc.) and to normal wear and tear will be repaired at reasonable rates.
All of our Gold series of shoes carry a lifetime warranty, Silver series of shoes carry a 2 year warranty against workmanship and defects.
